Kid Clever is his name, need I say more. This young Kansas City rapper is in a league all by his self. He opens up the fall season with his newest visual release entitled “I Lose It.” The visual is off the charts with its out of bounds editing and creativity. Keep your eye out for Kid Clever.
Signed to Epic Records last March, this Kansas City representa is turning some heads with recent 11 -track project titled, Mad World. The 18 year old Rory Fresco has some heavy autotune but many are complimenting him on his lyrics.
The guitar heavy intro/Track1 produced by Mr Fresco along with many of the projects tracks are standing out especially in the Soundcloud world. You may know him from the song “Low Key” which reached over 3 million listens. The algorithm on Soundcloud decided that “Lowkey” had a similar aesthetic to “Real Friends/No More Parties in LA.” by Kanye West. He told Complex, “This project is basically the come-up. This is my representation and my experience as a kid living in Kansas City while trying to pursue music,” Fresco tells us via e-mail. “I tell all about my real-world experiences all while trying to convey the message that you can be anything you want. I always aim to inspire the next person. I had people telling me I would never do it.” Also, check out “10 Jobs”, “On The Couch” and “Balloons” which are produced by Judge Beats.
