Chubbz x Fred Da Godson – “Block Boy”

Chubbz , aged 20, was born and raised in Jamaica Queens. His desire to rap was ignited at age 7 by time spent with his father in the barber shop listening to a range of artists such as Jay-Z, Fabolous, NAS, Jadakiss and Biggie. It was at this time he began to rap and those around him could already see his potential. As the years went by Chubbz refined his craft forming a group called A.O.G, with close friends Tune and Dapper whose videos can be viewed on YouTube. With the belief, teamwork and support from his family and friends, Chubbz recorded a record with Bronx native Fred the Godson called Block Boys, further sharpening his skills and solidifying his path into the hip hop music industry.

Looking forward to his future, Chubbz envisions collaborations with Ghostface Killer, Methodman, Jay-Z and NAS. When asked how he feels about the music industry Chubbz answers, “It’s cool, it;s diverse it has more styles and crossovers.” When asked his negative thoughts on hip hop he speaks his truth, “Hip hop is watered down. There is no originality, no lyrics. It’s real watered down with a lot of weirdo shit.” Chubbz is working hard concurrently on dropping a mix tape and working on his album titled “Only the real relate”. Chubbz authentic attitude and determination to succeed in an industry where many fail make him a name to keep on your radar, stay tuned.
